Rural Art Exploration: Marcellus, MI Edition
Did you know K&M Fabrication in Cassopolis has created sculptures that have been displayed across the United States? That Dowagiac has the largest number of sculptures, per capita, than anywhere else in Michigan? Or that the Paw Paw Post Office has a mural painted by Cuban artist Carlos Lopez, commissioned in 1940 as part of Franklin D. Roosevelt’s New Deal program? What about internationally recognized artist Richard Hunt’s Benton Harbor studio?
Initially held as an in-person event hosted by the Marcellus Township Wood Library in Marcellus, Michigan, you can download the presentation here.
